Yeah, this isn’t one of those.

Travel can be a time and space to recharge, savor and connect to other human beings. With us, downtime isn't riding on the bus to the next town. It can be almost anything you want - do yoga, take a walk, sleep in, cook, explore on your own, and get those creative juices flowing. Rather than going from city to city to train to bus, you’ll have a home base at one of the most beautiful places on earth, Lucca.
Slow down and live like an Italian for a couple of weeks. Walk to the corner market and grab those few simple ingredients that make for an amazing dinner, eat at the locals’ favorite haunts, visit “your” bar every morning for your cappuccino and cornetto. Do the passeggiata with everyone before dinner, learn some language, and - what the hell - throw in some hand gestures, too.
When you embrace slow travel (which to us means having the same home base for most or all of your trip) you’re going to have the time, head-space and energy to get the most out this experience.
Check out Sara's top 10 reasons to embrace slow travel.

Italy is well-known for its artisans. We think working one-on-one of them is a great way for you to learn about the culture, nourish your spirit, and...have fun, of course!
Body work and reflection can be vital during a time of transition and transformation. So of course we also offer yoga classes (at no extra cost, and with locals and a local teacher), during your stay, as well as a customized, downloadable meditation.

Adventurous travel was all fine and good in your twenties, but now mama needs a comfy bed, a guarantee of good coffee, and to arrive at her final destination without being a sweaty, crumpled, stressed-out mess.
You can still have your adventures, minus the headaches of adventurous traveling.
Once a relatively unknown little Tuscan gem, Lucca has become a top destination in recent years. Situated between Pisa and Florence, it was founded by the Etruscans and became a Roman colony in 180 AD. Its Roman roots are still visible through the outline of its now gone colosseum in Piazza del Anfiteatro.
Groups are limited to around 20 people per trip, so we can give you the attention and unforgettable experience that you expect and deserve.
Your boutique vacation is created by an American who has logged lots of miles and years in Italy, and knows how to get stuff done in a country where getting stuff done isn’t exactly priority one. She speaks fluent Italian, learned to drive stick on the autostrada and winding streets of Italian hill towns (and lived to tell about it), and knows how to get lots of people and equipment across the pond. “Sara, you provided so many opportunities to get to know the REAL Italy, an Italy I could never have accessed on my own as a tourist. Nothing will EVER top my two summers in Spoleto. You ran such a wonderful program. It was a blast in large part due to YOU."
Julia Guichard, Miami University
"Sara took GREAT care of me in Italy. My apartments were always so cute, the festival was well organized, and I never had to worry about much more than performing at my best. As a performing artist, I travel all over, all the time. Not having to worry about all the little things while you’re doing that is so important. I can’t recommend her enough - you won’t regret working with her!"
